In this episode, Kristyn provides an overview of the psychoeducation of trance journeys, sharing her experiences and offering insights before giving an overview of the upcoming episode’s meditation.

Transcript of Dream Place
Intro, Soften Body
Exhale slowly, offering your breath with love to your intention for this time.
Hold for a moment on this outbreath- trusting and knowing that your next inhale will be offered to you.
When you are ready, take a nice deep breath that lifts your chest and send it all the way down, deep into your belly.
Take a moment to connect to your breath and feel into your body. And locate yourself wherever you are, the land you are on and the land of your ancestors. Before we begin our dream place meditation, I want us to remember that our body is of the earth, part of a larger collective ecosystem, so that we can proceed as though our consciousness is also part of a greater consciousness.
To begin our journey to the dream place, I want you to imagine or think about you are going down a stairwell, or perhaps a ramp that is gently guiding downwards. As you think about that descending down, I wonder if you could relax your body into softness. Releasing any tension, expectation, even a desire to retain memory or extract meaning.
For now, I invite you to offer an outbreath with a sound to help relax your body. And on the in breath, see if you can send that breath to some part of the body that could use some extra love, care. I wonder if there is a movement you could do that would make you even more comfortable, and if so- allow yourself to move and make any adjustments so that you can be even more relaxed.
Maybe notice if there is tension or constriction somewhere that you can invite to soften on your next outbreath, maybe with sound or mindful movement. As we get deeper into relaxation, I will cue the body for stillness, and you may find the impulse for movement may be less- similar to falling asleep. You may even fall asleep and that is just fantastic. There is impossible for anyone to do this wrong, and you are doing great.
If any tension wishes to leave your body, Where would you like your tension to go? Would you like it to sink down into the surface supporting you, melting down like warm butter on a hot piece of toast? Or is your tension floating away from you like steam from a fresh cup of tea?
Is it possible to have your whole body loosen just a tiny bit more??
Invite your body to become still.
Release tension from your face, eyes, mouth, jaw…allowing eyes to close. Imagine that wave of relaxation washing down over you, traveling down your neck, arms, torso, relaxing the muscles of your inner thighs as it flows off your toes. *sigh* Check in, is anything different than when you first checked in. We aren’t forcing anything, just practicing noticing your body, naming any changes you notice.
Ramp/Stairwell Down- Soften Mind
Now imagine or think about a room off the stairwell or ramp. This is the control room of your mind, and I am going to offer you a chance to invite the mind to soften. Maybe there are buttons, levers, and dials. Your mind does so much for you, and you can let it rest. Notice if there is a dial of planning. Perhaps there is a dial for logic or analysis. As we continue down the ramp, there is no need to remember the minutiae of your waking life, or to make meaning of what is happening. The journey the dream place,is an invitation to simply experience, to feel. So I invite you to turn down whatever dials you wish, however far you want to turn them. You may wish to have a physical anchor you can use in case a thought slips through, you can anchor to it so that you will remember it once you return to waking consciousness.
As you examine the control panel of the mind, notice if there are any dials or levers you may wish to turn up for this dream place. Perhaps you find some that are creativity, imagination, deep connection. If it would feel good to amplify those, please do so now. You are in control of your experience, and you can decide what you want more or less of here. If you would like to continue to the dream place, it is time to continue down the staircase. Before returning to wide awake consciousness you will have the chance to revisit this room to move the dials where you want them, but for now lets travel down even further and at the bottom imagine a doorway that when you walk through it you will be in a beautiful place in nature.
Nature place
So now imagine or think about your ideal nature spot, a beautiful place in nature. If it sounds good to you, let’s soak up this place with our senses. Consider what shapes, colors, and images you can see. What is the quality of the light here? What time of day or season of the year is it? What plants and animals are in this naturescape? Are there any bodies of water or other noteworthy landforms?
What sounds do you hear?
What textures are available for you to touch? WHat might the ground feel like if you were to walk around with no shoes? Can you feel the breeze or sun along your skin?
Competent Protector
There is a loving, wise, competent protector that wants to come into your awareness. Are you ready to see them? This competent protector could be a plant, a rock. It might be an animal guide. Or maybe it is a human-like protector in the shape of a person from your real life or a story world. When you are in their presence and under their care, you feel yourself loved, and so beloved on the earth. The earth that is holding you in any nature scape you may find yourself. Maybe they have already shown themselves. Or maybe they are sensing some shyness or reluctance, and that’s okay. I wonder if you would invite them to show themself to you in a particular way, a particular place, at a distance that feels good to you. Can you rest in their loving presence? They are so glad you have come, and are thrilled you are here.
Dream place
You may wish to remain here with your protector if you like, in this beautiful place in nature that is so perfect for you. If you wish to rest here, you can simply ignore the words that I am saying but allow my cadence and the flow of my words to send you even deeper into a state of rest, confident that you are held by the cosmos and protected.
If you wish to travel to the dream place, you can let your competent protector know and they will be with you every step of the way. You can ask them any question, tell them what you need and they will make it so. How magical it is to be loved so well by this competent protector.
You notice that there is a cloud that is traveling in the sky and it is about to come over your head. But this cloud is casting light, not shadow. This light will be your portal to the dream place, so move towards the light as it comes toward you. You may notice yourself getting tingly and floaty as if the hold of gravity is lessened. You and your guide float into this cloud of light and you almost become the light– as if the light knows who are really are, what you are made of. You and your protector now can travel, through time, space, any dimension necessary to arrive to your dream place. You may have an idea of where you are going, or maybe you are open to what your guide and this loving light that you are traveling on to take you somewhere. As you are getting closer, are there any clues of where you may be heading? Somewhere you have been before, someplace entirely new? Another world perhaps?
You might start sensing details as you travel closer to the dream place. Notice it coming more clear into your awareness as you arrive. And you are there now.
Start by just noticing where you are.
Indoors or outdoors? Notice your feet, the ground that supports you, what is it like? Is your competent protector in their same form? Are you still human, or have you changed form? Remember you can change anything. you. wish. at any time. you. wish., so feel free to play around. If you know what you wish to practice, or who you would like to meet, Great Job! you may ignore the rest of my words and carry on with the experience you wish to have.
Would it feel nice to have have any magical abilities? Are there any people, animals, plants you would like to invite to join you? I wonder if you can amplify what you like and lessen the things you don’t. Remember your competent protector is here to help you create your dream place. Do they have any insight you might find useful?
What can you practice here that will help resource you for liberation? Are there any guides that you want to invite, or any that wish to meet you? You decide how you spend your time. What do you wish to play and practice? Is there any guidance here? Even though you have traveled a long way in the spirit world, you may still notice your body in the physical world- what do you notice in your body as you travel the dream world? Your competent protector is there to comfort, care for, and companion you- at all times.
You are free to be your authentic self. You can respond to hard things with your softness. Urgent times slow down. A better, more just, loving future is possible. You are the expert on your life, and only you can liberate yourself. What becomes possible when you do? What do you need? What practices will help?
I am going to stop talking now, but feel free to linger here as long as you wish. You may choose to fall asleep or if you need you can rouse yourself gently back into waking consciousness. Make sure to thank any guides that you connected with- and remember that this dream place is always available for you to return to.
Outro
If you need to leave, you and your CP will travel back to the beautiful place in nature. You may wish to give an offering or practice of gratitude to the land here before you find that doorway to travel up the stairs up the ramp into the control room of your mind to adjust any dials you need to before returning to waking consciousness. If you fall asleep, your dials will automatically reset to their former level before you began the dream place. Rest assured that, without any need to effort, your experience today will integrate into your life in the coming days and weeks as you continue to embody your most authentic, connected, creative and liberated self in the world. You can continue up the stairwell and gently invite movement into your body, twitching your fingers and toes, rocking side to side, blinking your eyes open, and returning to normal waking consciousness.
